D is for Dungeon

The picture that comes to mind when the word dungeon is used is of a dark, dank cell is which a slave is kept indefinitely. Alternatively it is a space filled with apparatus for torture, racks, frames for whipping, cages, with rows of whips on the wall and cupboards full of toys. This is the “red room of pain” belonging to Christian Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy.

Professional Mistresses tend to work from premises which have some of this dungeon apparatus in a room where they can dominate and torment the men who come as clients. But this is not what happens for most slaves and their Mistresses.

There are few free rooms or cellars in the average house.

Most slaves receive their whipping and are cast into bondage in the bedroom or living room at home. Perhaps there maybe a ringbolt on the wall in one corner to which the slave can be attached. Even here a cupboard can be modified to produce a “holding cell”. i once modified a cupboard under the stairs for Mistress with a cage built into it and rows of hooks on which to hang Her whips and toys. It was perhaps the “smallest dungeon in the world” with a cage 3ft x 3ft with a sloping ceiling, and a total size of 6ft x 3ft. Even then most activity occurred elsewhere in the house.

Any place a Mistress designates as Her dungeon is a dungeon, no matter how much or how little equipment is there. She decides what She calls any space in Her house or flat. Some Mistresses take their slaves out to parties of like minded individuals. Here the premises often have stocks, racks, or other equipment with which the participants can play.

But there are also dungeons for hire, in the UK, USA, and all over the world. These are fully equipped play spaces usually with a bedroom and bathroom as well and can be hired by the hour or longer. It is possible to find them via the internet via a search for dungeons for hire or something similar. Mistress and slave can use them for a “holiday” or even a weekend away. Many cost little more than the cost of a good hotel room for the same period. This gives Mistress a chance to play with a wider range of equipment.

my experiences started visiting Professional Mistresses in their chambers but now for many years i have been slave to a Most Powerful Mistress and we have used whatever is available to us with occasional trips away to dungeon spaces for a night or weekend visit. Playing away from home like this in a dungeon often shows Mistress things She likes and then gets to use on me. Then we get them to use again.
