M is for Mummification

The ancient Egyptians mummified their dead by wrapping them in layers of cloth bound tightly around the body. This prepared them for the afterlife. Then they were lowered into a coffin or placed in a sarcophagus and placed in the tomb.

Mummification of slaves means binding them in layers and layers of material to render them helpless. The slave is secured and his arms and legs are bound and then layer after layer of material are wrapped around the legs then body to bind the arms to the sides. The head can be covered as well as long as there is a hole through which the slave can breathe. The binding needs to be tight but still allow the chest to expand so the slave can breathe a little. If there are problems a pair of shears is handy to cut the slave free.

Bondage tape which sticks to itself works well as also does cling-film or the thicker saran wrap used for wrapping parcels. If cling-film or “Saran wrap” are used there is no way for sweat to get out so the slave is at risk of overheating. Cotton cloth in rolls can be used as well. One problem is that it is easy to wrap a slave standing up walking round and round as the binding is applied, but then he cannot move his legs and it is difficult to lie him down without him falling down. It may take 2 to lower safely to the ground.

The effect of mummification is to make the slave completely helpless. The same effect can be gained with a body bag or a latex sheet wrapped around the slave and secured with tape or rope. The other problem with mummification is that to look good it takes a long time to do. So if there is a limitation on time in a session the slave will be left mummified for minutes whereas it took hours to get him like it. My experience of mummification came years ago when i was slave to a Mistress interested in Egyptology. She enjoyed tying me up but best changing me into a facsimile of an Egyptian mummy using cotton and tape.
