Chains for bondage are made of steel, hard, unbreakable and secured with locks to make a slave helpless. They can be used to link cuffs, and allow some movement or to prevent any movement. They are the archetypal method of securing a slave.

But they are heavy to transport, difficult to use in public, and clank when the slave moves. Of course Mistress may like to hear the clank of his chains as a slave does the housework.
Another use of chains is to show that the slave is in bondage in a more symbolic manner. A slave can wear a chain bracelet around each wrist, or ankle chains purchased from a jeweler but locked all the same. He may have a chain around his neck carrying an identity disk that shows he is a slave. These can be worn outside and 24/7 as many would take them as no more than a fashion statement and a bangle. But the Mistress and the slave know better.
Mistress likes me in ankle chains all the time possible, hidden under my socks, and when we are out in public chains around each wrist as well. i wear a chain collar carrying a disk with Mistress’s initials on it but this is hidden as well. When i am with Her She likes me in heavy manacles and at night i am often locked away in chains as well as put in the cupboard.
