C is for candles

Candles produce a flickering light which is different than you can get with electric lights. They can be perfumed to give a smell that permeates the whole room. Candlelight is both intimate and romantic and also slightly scary with the shadows cast by the candle standing out from the gloom. All of this adds atmosphere to a room when you are playing and intensifies the experience for both Mistress and slave.

But candles are made of wax and as they burn the wax turns liquid. This hot and liquid wax can be dripped upon the tender parts of a slave who is secured so he cannot move. He may be unable to see what is happening in a blindfold or hood and does not know when or where the next drop may fall. This is particularly effective if the wax is being dropped on the balls or nipples.

There are risks using candle wax and it is best to use wax candles that burn at a low temperature not ones that will burn. Check the temperature of the wax with a finger tip before pouring it. Candles that are scented often burn hotter and the liquid wax is too hot and can burn the slave. In any case if the wax is dripped on the slave from a height it will cool a little as it falls and reduce the risk of damage.

i love sessions where Mistress has the lights off and the only light is from candles, in a warm room with a fire keeping us comfortable. But i also enjoy the sudden heat as candle wax is dripped on my nipples and tender parts when i least expect it. Getting the wax off later can be difficult and pulling it off hairs which hold it can be almost as painful as the wax being applied from the candle.
